This handsome ball of fire we call “Gabe”. JC registered 2001 Bay Thoroughbred Stallion. Gabe has called TC Thoroughbred Farm his home since the summer of 2005 when he was purchased after we liquidated all our former Appaloosa breeding stock.
Gabe is a Very special guy to us with a very special/heart felt story. Seriously injured when he was younger & then cast aside not being properly taken care of. He was rumored to have be injured in a horrific starting gate accident but others say he was injured on a sliding door. What is clear is that after his accident he was Not properly taken care of. It took a string a “Good” people to take a crippled horse & nurse him back to a sound state. Everyone who helped him recover fell in love with him & said he never lost his Spirit even after his horrible accident.
Gabe is not sound to ride, since his accident & was never raced on the track due to his injury. He has an amazing pedigree & temperament & will be standing only to a Very Limited number of outside mares.
You maybe asking yourself, what makes our TB Stallion different from the other race bred stallions in this area?? Gabe's pedigree isn’t Only American thoroughbred horses, he carries a heavy French pedigree with many greats, who sired our American winners! Gabe is sired by a Black type winner, Signoretto, who was a stakes winner of $463, 244 in the U.S. & France, out of Aaronetta by Milouin(FR) black type winner, by Arctic Tern(G1 winner), by Sea-Bird(FR) black type winner, by Dan Cupid a black type winner who goes back to Native Dancer another black type winner. Also has Mille Balles(FR) G3 Winner, Mill Reef black type winner, Bon Mot(FR) black type winner finally probably a more well known horse Secretariat a G1 winner. Even though Gabe wasn’t race his pedigree is full of race winners that have gone on to produce money earners of more than $1,000,000 some earning extremely more. If you are looking for a thoroughbred pedigree whether its for Racing, Barrels, English or if you want to put some speed into your working mount than this boy could do that for you.
Gabe is not your typical TB either, not long & lanky looking. He has a shorter back & bigger hip making him look more like a quarter horse. He is an Extremely easy keeper too, in the harsh winter conditions our farm has. He is gentle & easy to be around. He isn’t your average high strung thoroughbred. Easily handled by youth & adults. With his limited breeding restrictions there aren’t many Gabe foals out there. Gabe has an 08 Appendix gelding starting into his Barrel/Speed event training career with his new owner in Montana. This geldings new owner was so pleased with how smart this gelding is & just how handsome he is as well. We look forward to the updated as this gelding progresses.
