Located in the Beautiful Wind River Valley, our Horse Farm offers fantastic views of the Wind River Mountain Range. The farm is home to Gabriel's Reef our Thoroughbred stallion, to produce speed(race, barrel, quick event) prospect.
We also have DD LenaSpottedGator standing as well, to produce our performance prospects(cutting/reining, working cow-horse, ranch)
To go along with these great stallions we run an outstanding, diverse herd of mares, that are bred for reining, cutting, halter, dressage, jumping and racing. With this great combination we are producing quality bred performance foals, that the average horse owner can afford. We believe that we will have something for everyone here at T.C. Thoroughbred Farm & Performance Horses.
Our farms location is defiantly off the beaten path, located far from any city or town buzz. But that allows for gorgeous views and outstanding riding trails. The farms horse operation is run by the youngest child Jolene, who went to College for Equine Studies. Her degrees are in Equine Management and Equine Science, she is also a Certified Trainer and Riding Instructor. Jolene has experience in multiple disciplines both Western and English. Having been even employed by the Girl Scouts of Wyoming as there Camp Riding Director. She was responsible for every aspect of there Horse Program, from teaching horse safety, horses care and horse knowledge for small and lager groups of children. Not only does she enjoy teaching kids about horses, she believe you are never to old to learn something new. So if you are looking for lessons or to get a horse trained T.C. WHAT'S NEW ON THE FARM???
T.C. Thoroughbred Farm is Proud to let the public know about our "SECOND CHANCES" PROGRAM. Started in the fall of 2007. We have helped re-home quite a few horses. All horses listed on this page, had uncertain futures before we got them. They are quality horses that were hand picked to be in this program. Horses are picked on a basis of placement. We try to only bring in horses that have a high percentage of finding a new homes. We travel all over looking at potential horses for the program. We get everything from auction bound, abandoned and miss-treated animals. All horses brought in the program have been evaluated by T.C. Thoroughbred Farm to see what there potential/future suitability can be.
We get a history on most horses but not everything is in "Truth", so we test to make sure the horse(s) will be suitable for placement into new loving homes. Basically you know what we know! While there are NO guarantee's, with rescue horses, these horses have been evaluated & will be placed on a basis of what's best for them as we do not want them ending up back in the situation we rescued them from.
All horses in the program are wormed, vet checked, vaccinated, and brought current on farrier care. Horses offered in the program are sold at the price of what our farm has put into them, in the time we have had them(cost, care, feed, vetting, etc.). The prices are determined as well by "Current" slaughter prices. All our horses are listed Above what we know a "Canner" buyer would pay to obtain them.
We are not in the business of trying to get rich off placing these horses, however all horse are sold as advertised (as-is, you know what we know). If there is a Problem with the horse, that we know of, you will be informed either by the horses description or verbally by us. We just want perfectly good horses to find great loving homes. Mission:
T.C. Thoroughbred Farms wants the public to be able to breed their mare(s) at an affordable price, but still get a great pedigree and disposition, without breaking the bank. Our farm also sells quality prospects, or good riding horses at an affordable price too, you don't have to be a millionaire to own a great horse.
